Though Amazon has not provided a timeline for the release of the Olympus model, it remains committed to remaining at the forefront of AI research and development. This move signals a new chapter in the race for AI supremacy.
Airbnb has redesigned its guest review system with the aim of improving consistency across their properties. The updates are part of the company's latest winter release, which will allow users to sort reviews by most recent and highest rated to better manage everyone's expectations.
Airbnb is also introducing a new top-rated badge called Guest Favorites, which will be used to identify highly-rated properties to give users more transparency and provide hosts with more accountability. To further improve its service, Airbnb is testing generative artificial intelligence to create review summaries, automate photo tours and language translations between hosts and guests.
Google's AI-powered search experience, SGE, is now available in more than 120 countries and territories, offering an AI chatbot experience where users interact with natural language. SGE provides fully-formed answers, including references cited, and allows users to ask follow-up questions.
Among improvements to the conversational interface will be better use of translations and definitions, options to suggest a meaning when a phrase has multiple senses, and a new way for users to ask follow-up questions directly on a search results page.
