Spotify is testing an AI feature that enables users to create playlists using prompts. The feature was first revealed on TikTok, and is accessed via the 'Your Library' tab on the app. Users can type prompts into a chatbot-style box or choose from suggested prompts such as “get focused at work with instrumental electronica”. The AI then creates a sample playlist, with unwanted songs swiped away to refine it further. Spotify has invested significantly in AI, launching an AI DJ that provides personalized playlists and comments in an AI-generated voice.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has backed Worldcoin, a cryptocurrency project which aims to build a global identity and financial network by offering free crypto for iris scans. Following reports that the company behind Worldcoin, Tools For Humanity, is seeking $50 million funding, Altman discussed the project in a virtual Q&A. The company is seemingly raising the capital by selling discounted crypto tokens. Previously, the firm successfully raised a $115 million Series C funding round. Since its launch in July, Worldcoin has attracted investigation from various regulatory bodies, including authorities from the United Kingdom and Germany.
