The Details:

• Supercomputing Infrastructure and Scale to Market: Microsoft supports Mistral AI with Azure AI supercomputing capabilities and facilitates the distribution of Mistral AI's models through Azure AI Studio and Azure Machine Learning, broadening access to state-of-the-art and open-source models.

• Strategic Entry into the European AI Market: Microsoft teams with Mistral AI to tap into the EU AI sector, co-developing custom models for European clients, including government projects.

• Mistral AI’s open source LLM:

  1. Mistral AI's initial AI model training techniques are not only more efficient but also cost about 50% less than existing methods.

  2. Mistral Large ranks second on the MMLU test with a score of 81.2%, just behind GPT-4.

     

  3. Mistral AI introduced a new chat assistant named Le Chat today. Presently, Le Chat is in its beta phase.
